INTRODUCTION OF THE SANDWICH GUY

The Sandwich Guy is a solitaire rummy game designed by Wil Su in 2021.  In this game, you are trying to build special three card melds in which the middle card is exactly the same distance from the outer two cards.  After each meld, you will draw cards to replenish your hand, but not all draws are created equal.  How many cards you get to draw is determined by the quality of the meld you create.

THE CARDS & THE DEAL

The Sandwich Guy uses a 52 card deck. Shuffle the deck and place it face down in front of you on the table.  Draw 8 cards from the deck to form your hand.

THE PLAY

BUILD SANDWICHES

During the game, you are trying to create sandwiches (melds) of three cards.  For the sandwich to be built correctly, the meat (middle card) must be exactly the same distance from the two buns (outside cards).  Jacks are worth 11, Queens are 12, and Kings are 13.  The three cards must also ascend in order with the exception of a sandwich that goes around the corner.

For example, a sandwich can consist of a 4,7,10 with the meat being three cards from either bun.  A sandwich consisting of 5,5,5 is good because the meat is zero cards away from either bun.  A 5,10, 2 is a sandwich that goes around the corner.  The 10 is five cards away from either bun.

The sandwich is placed on the discard pile.  Only one sandwich consisting of three cards is made per turn.

DRAW CARDS

How you draw is based on the sandwich you create.

If the three cards are the same suit, draw four cards.

If all three cards are the same color but 스포츠토토사이트 suits, draw three cards.

A sandwich composed of different colors and suits allows for a two card draw.

You cannot have more than eight cards in your hand, so if a sandwich allows you to draw a ninth card, disregard the final draw.

The game continues until you draw the last card from the draw pile or are no longer able to make a sandwich.   If you cannot make a sandwich before the final card is drawn, you lose.

SCORING

After you have drawn the final card, continue making as many sandwiches as you can.  Once you have made your final sandwich, the cards remaining in hand is your score.  Only having one card left is a perfect game.

WINNING

A player wins if they can draw the final card from the draw pile.  Having only one card left in hand is a perfect game.
